How much does a SMS (text message) cost?
That depends on the SMS length and network. A SMS costs 1 SMS-credits for the first 160 symbols, and the same amount for every further 150 symbols, to most countries and networks. Please see Prices & Coverage for exact figures for your country and network.
Are there any monthly costs?
No. There are no monthly costs and no minimum volume of SMS you need to send. With SMSmail you only pay for the SMS you send. Even if you choose the subscription option. You pay once and receive your SMS-credits every month. Your credit card won't be charged again.
Do I need additional software to send SMS by email?
No. You don’t need to install any additional software. With SMSmail you can send SMS by using your favorite email program. It’s the same as sending email.
How fast do my SMS arrive?
Usually within seconds. But that depends entirely on the network in your country. Our system sends your SMS the instant they arrive.
Do I get a delivery notification after my SMS arrived?
Yes, if you like. After your SMS has been delivered you get a delivery notification by email. Delivery notifications cost 1/4 SMS-credit per notification. Delivery notifications can be switched off in the settings area of your account. Not all countries and networks allow delivery notifications.
How many numbers (mobile@smsmail.com) can I put in one email to sms message?
You can send as many SMSmail messages at once as your email program can hande. SMSmail works just like email.
Can I forward my incoming email to my mobile phone as SMS?
Yes. You can receive your email as SMS. It is simple. Follow the instructions under Email to SMS forwarding in the login area.
Do purchased SMS-credits expire?
Monthly credits are refilled every month on the purchase date. Unused monthly credits do not carry over into the next month. Regular credits never expire, unless you neglect to send a single SMS over a period of one calendar year.
Are there any hidden costs? Like any cost my operator might charge for sending or receiving your SMS?
No, there are no hidden costs. It is just like sending and receiving regular SMS.

How long can my SMS be?
A SMS can contain up to 1380 symbols in 7-bit (e.g. English) or 600 symbols in 16-bit (eg. Chinese). A SMS costs 1 SMS-credits for the first 160 symbols (70 in 16-bit) and the same amount for every additional 150 symbols (67 in 16-bit), to most countries and networks. What is a Sender ID?
The Sender ID is what appears on the mobile phone of the person receiving your message. The Sender ID lets the receiver know from whom the SMS was sent.
Can I chose a Sender ID other than my mobile phone number?
Yes, you can choose any Sender ID you like. For example: events, company names, domain names… You can change your Sender ID in the settings area as often as you like. Setting your own Sender ID is not possible in all countries and networks.
